Chicken and Vegetables rice

Ingredients

  • Cooked rice 3 cups
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 cup or more mixed vegetables
  • 1 tbsp all purpose seasoning
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • Curry leaves
  • Baked or fried chicken.

Method:

1.In a heated pan put 3tbsp of cooking oil, add 1 chopped onion and 1 cup or more of mixed vegetables.In the mixed vegetables that I have put includes carrots,sweet corn,peppers,peas,green beans.

2.Add 1 tbsp of all purpose seasoning, 1 tbsp of cumin seeds. Stir well and cover for 3-5 mins

3.Add salt and 2 tbsp of dark soy sauce(optional) and stir.Also add curry leaves.

4.Add cooked rice,you can use left over rice or you can cook the rice before.Mix the mixture well so that the rice is well incorporated with the vegetables.

5.Add the baked or fried chicken(optional),another options are beef,prawns or fish.

6.Leave for 10 mins on low heat

7.Ready to serve.

  • Vikombe 3 vya wali uliopikwa
  • Vijiko 3 mafuta ya kupikia
  • Kitunguu kilichokatwa
  • Kijiko kikubwa cha all purpose seasoning
  • Kijiko kikubwa cha binzari ya pilau
  • Chumvi
  • Vijiko vikubwa 2 vya soy sauce
  • Majani ya mvuje
  • Kuku aliekaangwa au kuokwa

 Matayarisho:

1.Anza kwa kuweka sufuria kwenye karai/sufuria. Weka vijiko vikubwa vitatu vya mafuta, kisha weka kitunguu kilichokatwa na mchanganyiko wa mboga mboga unazopenda.

2.Weka Kijiko kimoja cha all purpose seasoning na kijiko kimoja cha binzari cha pilau nzima ila unaweza kutumia ya unga.Funika kwa dakika 3-5

3.Baada ya hapo weka chumvi na soy sauce vijiko viwili(sio lazima) na ukoroge.Pia weka na majani ya mvuje.(sio lazima)

4.Tia wali uliopikwa unaweza kukaweka wali uliobaki siku ya pili.Koroga na uchanganye vixuri kuhakikisha wali na mboga mboga zimechanganyika vizuri.

5.Weka nafasi na uanze kuweka kuku aliekaangwa au kuchomwa. Pia unaweza kuweka samaki,nyama au prawns.
