Chicken makange

Ingredients

  • 4-5 chicken pcs (fried)
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 red onion
  • 2 medium carrots (cut into lines)
  • Mixed peppers
  • 1 tomato
  • Salt
  • Chilli paste
  • Vinegar or lemon juice
  • Tumeric powder
  • Cumin powder
  • Black pepper

 

Method

  1. Heat your pan and put 2tbsp of oil, add one chopped red onion. Fry the onion until it turns translucent.
  2. Add peppers and carrots that have been cut into julienne. You can use peppers of different colours or just one colour.
  3. Add one or two medium tomato (depends on how heavy you want the sauce to be).Add salt, 1tsp of garlic (optional). Sauté the mixture and cover it for a few minutes.
  4. Add 1tbsp of vinegar/lime juice. Add 1tsp of cumin powder and 1tsp of black pepper.
  5. Add chilli paste of your choice, in the recipe I used a chilli paste from Zuu’s kitchen (you can find it in my Instagram page).
  6. Add fried/grilled chicken to your mixture. (You can also use left over chicken)
  7. Add 1 cup of water and cover it and let it to cook for some few minutes.
  8. When the dish is almost ready, add turmeric powder according to how you would like it. Cover it.
  9. After the water has dried, your dish is ready to serve.

Matayarisho

1.Katakata kitunguu maji kimoja na teleke mafuta kwenye kikaango,yakipata kikaange kitunguu  kwa muda mdogo tu kilainike(kisiwe chekundu)

2.Baada ya hapo weka pilipili boga zilizokatwa nyembamba,unaweza ukaweka pilipili boga ya rangi moja au rangi tofauti.Kisha weka na karoti zilizokatwa nyembamba.Funika zilegee kiasi sio sana.

3.Weka nyanya moja au mbili, kutegemeana na kama unataka iwe na rojo au la.

4.Weka chumvi,Kitunguu swaumu kijiko kimoja kidogo kilichopondwa(sio lazima). Funika ziive kiasi,zisilainike sana.Kisha weka kijiko kikubwa cha vinegar/ndimu/limao.

5.Kisha weka kijiko kimoja kidogo cha binzari nyembamba na pilipili manga,weka pilipili ya kupika ya chupa(Katika page yangu ya Instagram unaweza kupata hii pilipili kutoka kwa zuu’s kitchen).

6.Baada ya hapo weka vipande vyako vya kuku vilivokaangwa au wa kuchomwa.

7.Weka maji kikombe kimoja ili kuku wako apate kuchemkia vizuri pamoja na vitu ulivyovipika.

8.Funika na iache ichemke kidogo,karibu na kuepua tia binzari ya mchuzi kiasi/kidogo kulingana na utakavyopenda.

9.Akikauka weka kwenye sahani na tayari kwa kula.
