Chickpeas rice

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rice (cooked)
  • 1 can chickpeas
  • 1 medium-large carrot (chopped)
  • 2 large tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 3-4 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic & ginger paste

Method:

1.In a pan put 3-4 tbsp of cooking oil,chopped carrot and 2 large tomatoes which are chopped.Add salt to fasten the tomatoes to cook.Cook for 2-3 mins

2.Add 1 can of chick peas to the mixture,1 tbsp of garlic and ginger paste,1tbsp of cumin powder,1tbsp of curry powder,1tsp of black pepper.Cook 2-3 mins

3.Add the cooked rice to the tomato and chickpeas base and mix well or you can add the chickpeas mixture to the rice.

4.Mix well and slowly to avoid breaking of the rice.

5.Ready to serve.

  • Mchele vikombe 2 – upike wali
  • Kopo 1 ya chickpeas zilizopikwa
  • Carrot ya kiasi au kubwa ikate kate
  • Nyanya-tomato 2 kubwa zikate kate
  • Kitunguu saum na tangawizi mbichi kjk 1
  • Bizari nyembamba kjk 1
  • Curry powder kjk 1
  • Pilipili manga kjk kidogo 1
  • Chumvi kiasi
  • Mafuta ya kupikia vijiko 3 au 4

Matayarisho:

1.Kwenye pan/sufuria tia mafuta ya kupika,kisha weka carrot,nyanya 2 kubwa zilizokatwa weka na chumvi ili nyanya ziive haraka.Pika kwa dakika 2-3 ili carrot zilainike kwa haraka.

2.Kisha weka chickpeas kopo moja,kitunguu saum na tangawizi mbichi,Binzari nyembamba kijiko 1,Curry powder kijiko 1,Pilipili manga kijiko kidogo 1.Pika kwa dakika 2-3.

3.Weka wali uliopikwa kwenye mchanganyiko wa chickpeas,au pia unaweza ukaweka mchanganyiko wa chickpeas kwenye bakuli la wali na kuchanganya.

4.Changanya vizuri na taratibu ili wali wako usivunjike.
