Crispy Potato Fingers

Ingredients:

  • 2 boiled potatoes
  • 1/2 cup semolina flour
  • 1 chopped green chilli
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 3/4 cup water
  • Oil for deep frying

Method:

  1. Boil and peel 2 potatoes,mash them using a fork until smooth.
  2. On medium heat put a pan and add ¾ cup of water and ½ cup semolina flour.
  3. Mix well and cook for 1-2 mins(the water will evaporate easily).
  4. Take the mixture off the heat and make sure there are no lumps. Mix the the semolina with mashed potatoes while the semolina mixture is still hot because it mixes well when hot.
  5. Add the rest of the ingredients. The green chilli is optional and you can also regulate the amount of coriander
  6. Apply some oil on your hand and make a long and thin shape
  7. You can put the potato fingers in the fridge for 10-15 minutes or the freezer for 5 minutes if it’s too soft
  8. Heat some oil and deep fry the potato fingers. You can put 2 or 3 at a time and if they are sticking together while frying you can fry one at a time
  9. Put the on a tissue so that it can drain from the excess oil. You can serve it with ketchup or chutney.

  • Unga wa semolina nusu kikombe
  • Pilipili ya kijani 1
  • Majani ya coriander
  • Chumvi kiasi
  • Maji kikombe 1 kasrobo
  • Mafuta kwa ajili ya kuchomea

Matayarisho:

  1. Chemsha viazi viwili kisha uvimenye maganda na uviponde mpaka view vilaini.
  2. Weka moto wa kiasi sana kwenye jiko lako na kwenye pan tia maji kikombe 1 kasorobo na uweke unga wa semolina nusu kikombe.
  3. Koroga vizuri na uache uive.Uupike kwa dakika 1-2 huku ukikoroga,maji yatakauka haraka.
  4. Zima moto na utumie mwiko au kijiko kuhakikisha hakuna madonge,changanya na viazi ulivoviponda.Vichanganye vikiwa vya moto bado ndo itachanganyika vizuri.
  5. Weka majani ya coriander,pilipili za kijani(optional) na chumvi.
  6. Paka mafuta kwenye mkono na ufanye shepu nyembamba na refu kiasi.
  7. Unaweza kuziweka kwenye friji kwa dakika 10-15 au kwenye freezer kwa dakika 5 kama utaona ni laini sana.
  8. Teleka mafuta yakipata moto vizuri,zichome.Unaweza kuweka 2 kwa pamoja au ukachoma moja moja kama unaona zinashikana.

Ziweke kwenye tissue zijishuje mafuta.Unaweza kula na ketchup au chutney.
