Homemade baobab fruits & tamarind ice pop

Ingredients

  • 2 cups baobab fruits (raw or cooked)
  • 100g ripe tamarind
  • Few drops portessa essence (or any essence of your choice & colour )
  • 1 cup sugar (or more)
  • 4-5 cups water (or more)
  • Ice pop bags (disposable) or moulds

Method

1.Boil 4-5 cups of water to a pan,add 2 cups of baobab fruits(raw or cooked) and 100g of ripe tamarind.

2.Let it boil for 5-6 mins,and stir to check if the baobab and tamarind has become soft and there is enough juice from it.

3.Add 1 cup of sugar or more depending on how sweet you would like it.Stir it and let it cook for about 2 mins and let it cool down.

4.Strain the seeds from the juice then add few drops of portessa essence to the strained juice.

5.Put the juice in the ice pop bags and freeze them for 5-8 hours or overnight.

Mahitaji

  • Ubuyu mbichi au ulopikwa vikombe 2
  • Ukwaju mbivu gram 100
  • Arki ya portessa matojo kiasi au arki yoyote unayoipenda na rangi
  • Sukari kikombe 1 au zaidi ukipenda
  • Maji vikombe 4 mpaka 5 au zidisha kiasi kulingana na mwenyewe unavyopenda
  • Vifuko au vikopo vya kugandishia

Matayarisho

1.Chemsha maji vikombe 4-5 au kusindish kulingana na mwenyewe unavyopenda,weka ubuyu mbichi au ulopikwa vikombe 2,ukwaju mbivu gram 100.

2.Acha ichemke kwa dakika 5-6 na angalia  kama ubuyu na ukwaju umeilanika na umepata juice ya kutosha.

3.Weka kikombe kimoja cha sukari au Zaidi kulingana na jinsi gani utakavyopenda.Acha ichemke kwa dakika 2 na uangalia kama uzito unafaa na kisha acha ipoe.

4.Chuja na uweke makapi pembeni(unaweza kuyachuja tena),weka matojo kiasi ya portessa au arki yoyote unayoipenda na rangi

5.Weka juice yako kwenye vifuko au vikopo kwa muda wa masaa 5-8 au usiku kucha
