How to cook octopus curry/ octopus in coconut cream

Ingredients
1 medium octopus
3 cups coconut cream
2 medium tomatoes
3 tbsp tomato puree
Mixed peppers
1 medium onion
1 tbsp garlic paste
1 tbsp ginger paste
1 tbsp curry powder
1 tbsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp tumeric powder
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
2 tbsp cooking oil
Juice of 1 lemon/lime
Fresh chilli (optional)
Salt to taste

Method

1. In a pot, add oil, start frying onion, pepper, ginger and garlic for 2 to 3 mins or until they are nearly light brown

2. Add chopped tomatoes and salt, cook for another 2 mins then add tomato puree, stir

Now, add chopped octopus and 1 to 2 cups of water, depends on how big is the octopus, cover until the octopus is half cooked ( do not add too much water)

Finally, add coconut cream and let it cook on a medium heat until it has become thick and the octopus has cooked through.
Add lemon juice and fresh chilli 5 min before done

Remove from the heat and serve

For better results, wait for 10 to 15 min before serving.

1. Kwenye sufuria weka mafuta, kaanga kitunguu maji, Pilipili boga, kitunguu saum na tangawizi kwa dakika 1 hadi 2 au mpaka vianze kuwa rangi ya light brown

2. Weka nyanya na chumvi kiasi kaanga kwa dkk nyengine 2, weka tomato puree pamoja na spices, koroga

3. Weka pweza pamoja na maji kikombe 1 au 2 inategemea ukubwa wa pweza(usiweke maji mengi), mpike mpaka awive nusu au akaribie kuwiva

4. Weka tui na wacha pweza amalizie kuwiva na tui liwive libaki na size unavyotaka na pweza amewiva.
Weka ndimu ukipenda na Pilipili dakika 5 kabla kuepua.

5. Kwa matokeo mazuri, wacha dkk 10 mpaka 15 kabla kuserve
