SESAME FRIED BREAD ( MANDAZI)

Ingredients

Plain flour half kg 

Yeast 1 tbsp

Sugar 3 to 5 tbsp 

Cardamom powder 1 tbsp 

Coconut milk/cream half cup 

Cooking oil 1 littre (for frying) 

1 egg

Cooking oil 1 tbsp

Sesame seeds

In a bowl put 1/2 of coconut milk/cream  add yeast ,cover for 3 to 5 minutes ,then add sugar,1 tbsp of oil and egg, mix wetogether, start  adding flour and  cardamom powder, mix well add coconut milk when needed , knead for 15 to 20 mins or until smooth and it doesn’t stick to your fingers 

Divide in to 3 or 4 small doughs  (equal size)and make them a perfect round 

Dust a flour on your work surface, before rolloing  your dough add sesame seeds on it  then roll to   to make a good size depend on the size you want ,use a knife to cut  in to 4 quarters  ,let them rise 

In a pan heat the oil on a medium heat,  when the oil is hot add your mandazi and start fryng one side until done flip the other side  until golden brown remove them ,serve with tea or curry.
