Potato and tuna kebab

Ingredients

  • 2-3 boiled potatoes
  • Mixed peppers
  • Coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 1 chopped onion
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp all purpose seasoning
  • 1 egg (for coating)
  • Oil for deep frying

Method:

1.Boil 2-3 potatoes, peel them then grate them using a grater or you can use anything that can help you mash the potatoes.

2.In a pan heat 2tbsp of cooking oil,then add mixed peppers,coriander leaves,1tbsp garlic,1 chopped onion.

3.Add 1 can of tuna or you can use fresh fish by boiling it and drying it then you can proceed with this process.

4.Add Salt to taste,1 tbsp cumin powder,1 tbsp all purpose seasoning (optional) then mix well

5.Cook for 5-7 minutes then you can add lemon juice but it is optional.It helps with giving it good smell/aroma.You can also add chilli powder or fresh chilli but this step is optional.

6.Mix the cooked tuna with potatoes and make shapes that you would want.It can be egg shaped or round shaped.

7.Beat an egg for the purpose of coating the kebab.You can beat one egg and if it isn’t enough you can add another one.

8.Take the kebab and roll it in the egg mixture to fully coat it,then fry it it in medium heat.If your kebab are falling apart you can coat it in all purpose flour before frying it

9.Place the kebab on tissue to drain it from the oil

10.Ready to serve.

Mahitaji

  • Viazi vilochemshwa 2-3
  • Pilipili boga kiasi (mchanganyiko)
  • Majani ya coriander
  • Kjk 1 cha kitunguu saum
  • Kitunguu maji 1 kikate kate
  • Chumvi
  • Kjk 1 bizari nyembamba ya unga
  • Kjk 1 “all purpose seasoning” si lazima
  • Yai 1
  • Mafuta kwa ajili ya kuchomea

Matayarisho:

1.Chukua viazi mbatata/viazi ulaya vichemshe,vitoe maganda na uvipare au uviponde kwa kutumia kibati cha kuparua au chochote cha kupondea na unaweza kumalizia kuponda na uma kufanya zipondeke vizuri

2.Kwenye frying pan yako weka mafuta vijiko 2 na yakishapata moto,tia pilipili boga,coriander(sio lazima),vitunguu swaumu pamoja na kitunguu maji

3.Weka samaki wa kikopo aina yoyote u unaweza kutumia samaki fresh na kisha umchemshe kwanza pembeni na umkaushe ndo uendelee na process hii.

4.Weka chumvi kiasi,kijiko 1 cha bizari nyembamba ya unga,kijiko 1 cha all purpose seasoning(si lazima) koroga vizuri.

5.Pika kwa dakika 5-7,weka ndimu/limao (sio lazima) unaweza kipande kimoja iliiupata harufu nzuri.Weka pilipili ya unga au fresh (lakini sio lazima).

6.Changanya mchanganyiko wako wa samaki na viazi ulivoviponda.Fanya shepu utakayoitaka kama yai au duara.

7.Vunja yai moja na ulipige vizuri kwa ajili ya kuzungushia,isipotosha unaweza ukaongeza yai jingine.

8.Chukua katlesi zako na uzingushie kwenye yai,na uzichome kwa moto wa kawaida.Kama katlesi zako zikinyambuka jaribu kuzungushia kwenye unga wa ngano kabla ya kuzichoma

9.Ziweke kwenye tissue ili zijichuje mafuta.

10.Tayari kwa kula.
